which model was it ? ... Mr. Gar Gillis is a first class gentlemen ... I
called him up after I scored a Garnet BTO two summers ago (it's got a
tranny for a phase-splitter !)... though, curiously, he apparently doesn't
believe in variable bias circuits ... so every time I work on a Garnet it
gets a new bias circuit (the cap rating is too low there), even if it
hasn't blown up yet ... great sound, plexi edge ... he's the Leo Fender of
Canada IMO, his designs are way out there sometimes ... the SessionMate was
given to me by the boys at NotJustAnotherMusicStore 'cause they couldn't
handle the mess inside ... the thing's awesome sounding now ... I play my
Moog Source through it too :)
