AW: multiple power supplies in a modular

Transient Voltage Suppression Diode.
Us old farts call them 'Transzorbs' (which was a trademark of the first ones made, around 1980).
Basically, a very fast (<1ns) pair of Zener diodes, use to clamp transients. Expensive (about $1) but works
much better than say a $0.18 MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor, what is used in "Surge Strips" for computers)

I've heard of a metal oxide varistor for overvoltage clamping, but what is
a TVSD?
Thanks! :)

These will clamp any overvoltages. You might want to try these things on
your supply lines etc. They seem to be worthwhile. Definitely have
improved reliabilty of the product. And I think only ours have
em....(plug) :-)
