Get a can of Caig DeOxIt D-5. It's the service technician's magic potion.
For ten years
it saved many an old stereo that hit my workbench. Other brands of contact
cleaners are useful for really filthy controls, but they don't have that Caig
magic. NOTHING can save old pots and switches like D-5.
