Where can I get DPDT footswitches?

look at your average guitar pedal: it has a footswitch (SPST) that
triggers a flip-flop (well, not really a flip-flop but a discrete
transistor based flip-flop) this flip-flop feeds a couple of different
circuits that turn on or off the various elements of the pedal..
I would say you would be better off with the spst (cheaper) and using a
d-flop or something rigged up with the QNOT fed back into D, and the
switch switching CLK.. This would turn on Q with one hit of the pedal,
then the next hit will turn Q off, then next hit turn on Q, etc..
