This is the much more common sx1000. I have heard of cv input mods for this
synth, so I'm not sure whether the processor that scans the keys is also the
oscillator, or if it is just doing frequency division for the different
octaves as well as key scan.
Anyone know for sure ?

The model Andrew has, the sx2000, is an older model designed to sit on top
of an organ, with limited controls along the front, and some preset buttons.
It makes monster warped noises from hell, greta for basses, and is easily
modded for 1v/oct cv and gate.
