If you wanted to go 100% modular connections, you could easily run the
seperate outs into a VCA and modulate it with an envelope or LFO. Sweeping
filter modes with a time-variable c/v is nice as well, very nice for
rich-sounding strings.
Again on the switching question.. I think it's a good idea to have
normalized connections. (ADSR to VCF, ADSR to VCA, etc) It does save time
in making patches, altho it does make the inside a little messier. But
who sees that? ;) Just remember to keep leads short, neat, etc. Personally
I wouldn't want to allocate room on a synth I build for pots for all the
various modulation sources a la arp 2600... panel space and pots are the
most expen$ive part of a synth..

BTW I got my hands on 2 CEM3330's.. gonna get cracking on a quad VCA! in a
rack with my paia CEM VCO and VCF... slobber.
