Good question. The noise seems pretty much broadband, i.e. decoupled
from the pilot wave. Sometimes -- before I had any filtering in the loop
-- it was mixed in with some multiphonic sounds. When the system syncs
up with the pilot it's often at a 2:3 frequency ratio. At 1:1 it tends
to slip -- like a soft sync that doesn't quite lock. I need to get some
problems with levels sorted out before I do much more experimenting with
the sounds. The main issue right now is the multiplier, for which I used
an AD633. I kinda forgot about its output being normed to xy/10! The
system should be much better when I get the levels right.
