First Squawks

Today I got the first sounds out of the analog physical modeling synth
I've been developing. At first it made nothing but an incredible amount
of strange noise -- different forms of chaotic behavior, I guess. After
putting a LP filter in the loop it still made a lot of noise, but I was
able to find a range of parameters that gave periodic waveforms.
Especially gratifying, I got it to lock at half the pilot wave
frequency, which is the correct behavior for the clarinet model that it
is running. It's going to take a lot of work to make this a useful
instrument -- its not obvious how to set the gains of the various
sections, for example -- but so far it's great fun.
