Could be. He was always a bit of a "dealer" in the sense that he charged as
much as he could but you could always find good deals if he didn't know what
something was.

I just checked http://www.eli.com and there is an entry for company history.
It is the same place but I guess that they are out of the surplus market as
well...

Is this the same ELI which sells sun 3/50's for $200 at flea markets? I
have some friends which have had bad experiences with him... apparently
he's jacked up his prices somewhat in recent years. I walked past his
place every day this summer, they seem to be catering to buisnesses mainly
now. For what it's worth..
