< remaining cut >i agree ... if you have the money to invest in a good analog scope, it's well worth it.  i bought mine at a ham radio convention, a tektronix 465b ( 100Mhz dual trace ) with full manual and schematics for less than $300US.  really, this is the high end of used analog scopes.  for those interested, i bought it from bob garcia who lives in marietta, georiga.  i think he's a retired gentleman who buys and repairs scopes for a living - a good source for diyers.  his number is (770)977-5701.
