I just bought 50 pieces of SC1583 for less than DM 1,- a piece.
You can never kow ...
I also got a few of these BA-forgot-the-numer VCA chips that were
recently mentioned - no time to test them yet, though.
This Japanese stuff seems to be quite handy, once you've overcome
the initial shyness. I really love the SIL (rather than DIL) packages,
too. Easier to layout or veroboard.
Do you know a few good standard opamps in SIL package?
The bad thing of my source of Jap stuff (Reichelt Elektronik) is
that they have no description whatsoever, just "Japan Transistor"
or "Japan IC" and the part number.
Are there even *data sheets* out there, in the web ??
