Well, basically, you need to poke around inside with an o-scope while it
is playing and find the line that changes its pulse times when you
change the tempo. OR, you could find out what the tempo knob is doing to
the processor to change the tempo.
With either of these found, you could conceivably figure out what its
looking for as far as a sync signal ie, what sync value 24ppq, 4ppq,
etc.
so.. Find the internal sync signal.. thats 90% of your work..

To stop the click, you could use a simple passive lowpass filter... a
resistor and a cap to ground would do it..
