Hi Chris and All !

To clear holes that are closed up with solder, on single side that
is, a cheap trick that i've used a lot is just to stick a sharpened
pencil in the heated solder . Also works with a steel point . And
most useful on those pesky solder eyes . Molten solder won't stick
to graphite or steel . Care should always be taken not to overcook
the pads, lest they detatch themselves from the substrate .

That Radio Shack device, the desoldering iron with the rubber bulb is
cheap and cheerful, works well, but gets very hot as it's not temp
regulated : pad lifting ! It's also easy to burn oneself, been
there :)

Also, don't forget that drops of molten solder give deep burns when
they hit the skin . Tube blowers, take care :)

Happy desoldering :)

Keep 'em oscillating :)
