As mentioned, you get the added benefit of higher tolerance with those
DACs, but the only real reason I choose them was because I have the
databook from analog devices, and they were the first +15v, parallel
output flash DAC that I came across. I never did too much research on
it, or looked too much at other companies products. 

If someone would like to suggest suitable replacements, that'd be cool.
