Transistor C557C???

1. according to my reading of my NTE book, it's npn, EBC.

2. PNP, CBE

3. BC557 is pnp CBE if you look that way

4. 2sc557c npn, sili, connections cbe 
    bc557, then pnp, to92 case , ebc connections ,flat towards you
    .pins held up .....


I guess it is PNP CBE. It's from a MAM VF-11 tran says only C557C in
text. Don't know if B or SC prefex. It's part of the Envelope follower
circuit. Still trying to understand how it works?
