Resonant filters?

Ever heard how the (digital) filter of a Roland sampler (S-330,
S-760...) sounds? I once compared it to a CEM3320 filter, both with high
resonance and with the same input singal. There was no big difference.

But resonance cannot be controlled by MIDI controllers :-(
