This unit is still being manufactured and can be seen on a web site - but
I too don't remember the name of it.  And you're right, the cost is more
than I paid for my AD.  As the connector pinouts are pretty clear in the
service manuals, hardware design isn't the problem - the memory mapping,
PCM conversion, etc. are the issues.

.I remember that a Dutch outfit produced a rack unit with floppy 
drive, computer connection, maybe hard drive, that connected to the 
pcm slot on the Wavestation .  Very sought after unit, consequently 
very expensive s/h .  About same price as AD unit itself :(  Given up 
looking for one, and now i don't even seem to remember it's name, 
hmmm ... :)

Details, anyone ?
