Several folks are using it for powering everything from old PAiA modules to an ARP 2600.

I second this! I mean, these power supplys actually are probably CHEAPER
to buy from John than to build! And, they work great!!
I would say to buy the bigger of the two though...just in case you need
more current..can never have enough current..
Extremely stiff regulation with no ripple..
