Over the weekend I was talking to Paul
S. about all things synth like and he
spewed out a very simple circuit that
will light a LED when given a gate. I
know this is trivial electronics to
many, however to those of us who love to

make and wish we could engineer these
simple circuits can be a ton of fun in
our projects. I think it's so sweet, I
want to share it. Again, this 4
component circuit is a gift from someone
else. I think it would be very nice if
anyone else has a simple utility circuit
to share would do so. Here goes:

3904 transistor, 2 resistors and a LED.

E - tied to ground
B - tie to one end of 4.7K resistor.
Other end of resistor to GATE.
C- tie to cathode of LED. Tie anode to
1.5k resistor. Tie other end of
1.5K to +15V

Have fun,
Steve in Hawaii

PS I would like a design for a simple
mixer (say 3 or 4 inputs) to be used for
mixing CV signals.
