Exactly. I forget who gets the credit for this one; it's either John
Simonton or Craig Anderton. I don't have the info handy. Is it archived at
the PAiA site?

I bought four surplus tanks (some time ago) and the instructions and rigged
up a stereo pair. I still have a slight ground loop buzzing away somewhere
waiting to be exorcised, and the outputs aren't exactly the same tonally
and even the overall volume is't quit the same, but then these were surplus
tanks so who knows how well matched they are? That's an important
consideration since phase cancellation is involved. Nevertheless, it's the
closest thing to tank you'll probably ever hear in the analog (electronic)
domain. Physically a lot more convenient, too. You can whack 'em when
you're covering "The End".
