I tried several sound cards as MIDI interfaces including the SBAWE64 and SB16
clones and had MIDI problems galore. Maybe it's my PC, other people I know don't
have any problems with MIDI from their sound card. Basically, if want better
MIDI timing don't use a sound card. I now use a Midiquest 2 port/SE and have had
no problems.
