Gift horses

Hi all (and a specific few as well),

I like Scott's 'truth-in-design' rating system (I'm a firm -EE, -CD), but
how would one indictate that they both a) knew it all and b) frequently
looked gift horses in the mouth? If you really know better, then just do
your own thing, right?. What do you need synth-diy for?

While DIY means do it youself, I'm openly glad that I DONT have to do this
all myself; I'd never get half as far re-inventing someone else's wheel.

Hard to believe that someone would shoot down 'freeware' designs, for no
purpose other than the exposition of rightous attitudes, and opinions.
Finding weaknesses or outright problems in even the best and most famous
designs is not impossible.

Especially if that is what you are looking for to begin with.
