You know you may have inspired me again. I get mail from time to time from
people asking where my intermediate projects are. It now goes from the TherMan
to the Mini4cv. Thats a pretty big leap. So I've been working on a three chip
15 transistor synth (inspired by the paia Gnome) something about $3O, what I
would call a dead simple synth. The rules are keep it under $35 no OTAs, less
than 4 chips, under 12 controls switches and pots. CV interface pitch, pitch
bend, mod and trigger. specs so far 1 unj VCO w/sub oct, BP VCF, VCA, 1
LFO/MOD, 2 EGs w/attack & decay. Parts so far LM324,CD4O11,CD4O13,UNJ several
FETS, NPNs and PNPs. I was having a problem getting the LFO to perform the MOD
function using a FET and I think the solution may involve a LDR/LED. I might
even be able to change the BP VCF to a LP VCF. The no OTA less than 4 chip
rule is proving tough to follow, but If I really want to build it for less
that $35 I need to follow it. We'll see how it turns out. I think I'll call it
the Mad-Mouse after that awful ride I loved so much.

BTW I went looking for a couple of 3 space rack panels for a pair of Mini1cv's
But they were out so I bought a 6 space panel. Every time I look at it, it
changes. There is a pic of what it looked like last time on my site under
UMaxx. Sort of a contained modular thing. It's safe to say the mini1 will not
get built any time soon so I have moved it into the new project archive area.
I am making a lot of changes. I have a lot of information there but it's not
arranged very well so I'm working at it. Some links may break.

1 cv interface - glide / pitch bend range / 3 attenuators...ect
2 3374 VCOs - CV / PWM / FM / Sync Inputs & Saw / Pulse / Tri / Sine
1 VCO-4A - CV / PWM / FM / Sync Inputs & Saw / Pulse / Tri / Sine
2 LFOS LFO-1A - Tri / Square Waves CV range.
1 S&H noise LFO-2A type with internal 555 clock
2 TGS w/cyle and CV range
2 EGS w/ CV range
1 Ring Modulator
1 Sub Octave
3 CV or Audio mixers
1 Moog type VCF w/FM
1 MS50 type VCF w/FM <- New addition ;-) Where am I gona put this?
1 3372 VCF w/FM
1 Dual VCA w/pan
