Synth Operating Systems Repository

Members,
After seeing many requests over the years for the latest OS
for this-or-that synth, I wanted to start an OS repository.
A place on the WEB where the .bin files from the OS chips
from numerous synths can be stored. I have an EPROM
programmer and would be willing to read in the files from
the borrowed EPROMS of list members. I have the files
from a few synths I own and I would make the first donations.
If you are comfortable yanking some EPROMS temporarily
from your synth and let me read them in, let me know.
If you have access to a programmer and can read them in
and E-mail them to me, let me know.
Myself, ( and another volunteer? ), would be willing to burn chips for people.
I would also like someone to temporarily or permanently host the
website, if the AH site is not suitable.
Also, we could have alternate sample chips for drum machines, and
even the Digisound DVCO.
Before you start the "is this legal" thread. It is.
1. Most of the synths we're talking about are out of production,
hence, "no damages" to file a suit.
2. If the Copyright/Patent owner complains, we remove them, "case closed".
3. Please don't start an "is-this-legal-thread?".
All relevent replies welcome.
Thanks,
Russ L
