Okay, since everyone is talking about the Archive site which I
maintain, I guess I should make a comment or two. First, I don't own
hardly _ANY_ of the schematics which are on my site. I rely on people
who _DO_ own them to scan them in (decently) and then donate them to the
archive where they can be available to anyone who doesn't normally have
access to this kind of information.
Seriously, if someone were really _needing_ these schematics to repair
a modular, synth, drum module, etc, it is _always_ in the best interest
of the person to _track_ down hardcopies of the schematics. That is why
I try to keep track of who donated which schematics so that _YOU_, the
diy enthusiast, can talk to the people that own the originals (well
copies, most likely).
But in some cases, what is there online is exactly what you are going
to find in hard form. For instance, if I were to scan in my PS-3100
schematics, you'd get the same badly copied crap that I have on paper.
And since you can't call Korg up and get the service manual anymore (the
tech told me "Do you know how OLD that thing is?"), sometimes you just
have to deal with what you can find.
In any case, I have been aware that there are missing pictures from
some of the schematic "sets" that are on the Archive. Unfortunately I
_don't_ have the time to go actively tracking these missing schematics
down. And again, rely on _YOU_, the synth enthusiasts, to help me
complete the sets.
So instead of anyone griping that something isn't there, go track it
down. Email me a scan, or photocopy it and send it to me by post. I'll
put it up. :) Heck, if you have pointers to help people READ the
schematics (like somewhat cryptic Moog modular ones) then Email me a
detailed text describing things to look for, errors, etc, and I'll post
it to a page.
Remember folks, it's all about _sharing_ information. That's what the
DIY list is all about.

   Tony
