ground jacks on my asm-1 panel

another super-basic question: if i want to control this synth with an
external device with independent ps (such as a theremin i'm building),
how else do i normalize ground but by including jacks on the asm-1
panel.

but then how come i've never seen one on other people's panel designs..?
