analog or midi second try

Well, if you don't know what you want to get, don't rush in to anything :')

Yes, analog sequencers are hard to use if you want to create arbitrary
music. They are not good at that. You have to treat the analog sequencer as
a musical instrument, and approach it on its own terms, just as you would
trumpet, piano, or drum kit. You can't play multiple notes on a trumpet,
and you can't sequence every musical line on an analog sequencer.

On the other hand, there's no reason you can't get good timing out of a
MIDI sequencer. Lots of people do it all the time. If you think the analog
stuff sounds better, that right there may be enough reason to live with the
limitations of analog.

A little blatant self-promotion, also intended to help you explore
possibilities: if you have a PC with Win95, you should check out Seq-303,
available on my web site (below). This is an analog sequencer simulator
that has many of the same capabilities as the TKB. <Not all, no indeed.> At
least this will be a way for you to explore what you might be able to do
with analog, without shelling out the money for the hardware.
