A couple of thoughts on the front panel design:
1. I definitely think there should be a numerical scale around the pots. How
are you going to document your patches without it? I recommend digits 0-10 with
a short line at the exact point and also a line between each digit. That is
what I use. Then you can write down the settings with fairly high acurracy. Of
course some pots might have 0 in the middle and go to -+5 instead.
2. Shouldn't the VCAs have AM inputs and amount pots?

Subject: New ASM1 web page up and running
Hi All,
Well, I've started the basic ASM1 web page - for those that are interested,
here's the URL:
http://lab1.teklab.com/üjay/ASM1/
We finished the front panel design this evening -- if you get the chance,
have a look and tell me what I've done wrong! I'm probably going to be
getting
the first prototype panels printed this week, so any final tips before I go
to the press would be very much appreciated! There are notes on the panel
design and the direction we took on the web page... And I'm planning on
putting some pictures up of the first prototype panel over the weekend some
time.
Thanks in advance for all that have provided very valuable assistance so far -
stay tuned to this site if you'd like to learn more about my ASM1 building
experience. I've kept a "Project Journal" with my notes and observations
geared towards the novice builder (since that's what I am), so it may be of
use to someone out there!
