By the way: there is a shareware/pd prg for atari (STE/ 1040?).
It reads text from standard input (console) and creates speech
out of it. If someone is interested, I could dig out the name.
I think, the internal 4bit DAC is used together with a phonem
table in the program. Of course it can't sing, just read
with a monotoneous voice.

I used this prg for the piece #3 "Rap" on my CD#3.
