This is an interesting idea, but as said before, most of these ICs have
a very limited bandwidth and sample frequency. I looked into some
circuits now and found that the simplest ones with build-in memory had a
bandwidth of 2-4kHz, a sample frequency of 6-8kHz and about 5-20 seconds
of recording time.
I also found a cheap circuit with up to 64kHz sample rate and a 10 bit
D/A, but that needed separate memory. Anyway, that seemed like the best
choise for the purpose since the other ones are made for toys and
probably sounds like crap!
