looking at the Harris data sheets, the CA3046 is guaranteed matched
Vbe +-5mv, input offset2uA max atIc 1ma
no guarantees on the CA3086..
but also, the CA3018 is also matched, AND matched for hfe +-10%, AND
guaranteed for noise (unlike the others, it is 2 transistors plus a
Darlington.
Harris apparently have a matched pair application note AN5296.. is
there anything interesting in this?
