For those that are interested, Newark have the MAT02's in stock (for the ASM1
synth project).

They actually have 4 'grades' of MAT02 in their catalog, as well as two
different package types -- The "TO-78" package, and the "LCC 20-contact"
package.

Gene Stopp designed the PCB for the ASM1 to use the TO-78 style of MAT02
package, so if you place an order with Newark make sure you get the right style.

As for the 'grades', they have 3 different "Industrial spec" grades, and 1
"Military spec" grade, the only difference being in the operating temperature
tolerances.

MAT02AH - Mil spec -- about $26/each
MAT02BH - Discontinued, they were about $14/each
MAT02EH - Approx $7.50/each
MAT02FH - Same.

I don't actually know what the differences are between the MAT02EH and the
MAT02FH parts, but I ordered several of each just in case.

Anyway, thought there might be some on the list that might like to know this
info. BTW, the address for Newark is of course http://www.newark.com, and
I used the "dealer locator" section of their site to find my local (Los Angeles
area) dealer, with whom I placed an order today.

More news as the ASM1 project progresses, I guess. I've almost got my new
panel design finished, going to get it printed tomorrow and get the front panel
drilled and parts assembled (pots, etc). So hopefully by the end of the week
I should have a couple of working ASM1's to report on, and a new web site for
those that are interested in all the nitty gritty details...
