Hmm, I'd say that CV's range more on the 0 to 10V scale. Of course
there really is _no_ set standard. Actually it's more practical to have
CV's that range the same as your audio. I.E. if you have 10Vpp audio
signals (we're talking modulars here) then to really have fun, your CV's
should be +-5V. This way you can plug in audio and CVs anywhere with no
converters needed.
Gates tend to be in the 0-5V or 0-10V range. If you set it up right,
your gates should trigger around 2.5V This way a trigger from any source
will work. :)
