a few simple questions

Hi all!

I've just joined the list and I'm kind of a newbie at analog synth
construction. So I have some simple questions just to get started...

I was planning to build a simple CV controlled VCA to learn a bit about
CV etc. So, if you build a linear VCA, then you must have a linear-exp.
converter, right?
>From what I've understood, CV signals range from -15V to +15V (?). What
are the specifications for gate signals?
