TR-808, TR-909, possible to build from schematics?

Hello, im a new comer to electronics, reading a book on basic electronics
theory, and only have experimented slightly with electronics. I was just
wondering if anyone out there has hand-built their own TR-808 or TR-909 from
scratch. I dont even know if it it possible, but i was curious. i have the
schematics for a TR-808, but being new to electronics, have no idea whether it
is possible to build or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in
