I totally agree, with the new release of BeOs for intel boxes a whole new
level of hack has been made available to us mere mortals. Audio elements and
several other audio hacks out there are good indicators, but this new
abiblity to do direct DMA streaming from supported I/O devices makes it a
real good candidate for creating interactive instruments of all types both
audio and video....It is worth a look...
