...you can do this with a UART, now some people will say a UART costs too
much now,
but old (VERY old) motherboards may well have such a one....
the notorious Penfold had one in one of his MIDI project books,
also yes there was one on the net..... somewhere.....
also John Blacet (member this list) sells a pre prog PIC and ckt diagram for
just this.... might be the best way to go, unless you wqant to have fun
designing.....you would learn something, I'm sure... ;)
