Little DIN sync box

Hello all --

I'm interested in knowing whether anyone would share experiences or advice
for designing or building a MIDI-to-DIN sync (24 ppq) unit.  I think I saw a
schema for such a thing somewhere out in net-land, but as usual I didn't
bookmark and now can't find it again. :(  Maybe I just dreamed the whole
episode...anyway...

As a relative novice (which I am), how difficult would it be for me to build
such a thing?  Is it possible with discrete circuitry, or would some kind of
PIC-chip type microprocessor work be required (if so it's *way* out of my
league).

Hope I'm not rambling too much, it's late and I'm tired.  BTW, this is my
first post on the list, though I've been lurking for a few weeks now.
