Some of you may know of this, some not.  I just found this site today.
I was looking for a description of an MM5056 10 pin DIP.  Turns out
that it's a dual 256 bit static shift register.  Too bad it isn't a
BBD.  But anyway, this site will give you the manufacturer and
function of a plethora of parts, even many obsolete ones.
Unfortunately, no data sheets right there.
