MOTM future plans

It is to be expected that there is reluctance to by MOTM until all the modules are out. In fact, I worried over this
for months. But, the cash needed (and remember, it's MY cash) to have available the 8 'basic' modules, plus
hardware (cases, etc) would be about $20,000.

Yes, there always a possibility that I get hit by a bus. That's why I CAREFULLY selected to do some 'signal
processing' modules first. These 'stand alone' in your system (system = 1 synth + a 19" rack) so that they
can be used without the VCO/VCF/VCA stuff.

The next module is another 'stand alone' system. It is a voltage-coltrolled dual 2:1 mux. One version is audio
specific, the other control voltage specific. These have a common pc board, but different components.
Estimated cost is $80.

After this module, I will start the synth 'voicing' modules. The VCA & EG are first, since they are (1) easiest and
(2) cheapest! These will be in June (I am moving to a bigger house about 2 blocks away in May, an will be
' shut down' for about 10 days). Then comes the Moog ladder filter in July, and the VCO in August.

As far as longevity: it's pretty simple. I build as long as you buy. Nobody buys, I don't build. This is not a
'mass market' thing: this is a semi-custom modular that you get to participate in the construction.

As far as the price goes: if I had these for $50 each, would my orders shoot up dramatically? No. Either you
want to build them or not. Either you have the money or not. Either you have the time or not. And so on.

This is a painful lesson I learned from the CEM chip sales: the first month I had them, I got over 1200 downloads
of data sheets and price info. Total number of orders??? 11. You have to be patient. I am. And very grateful
that the CEM sales have got to the level that at least the first MOTM modules are funded.

I also understand that I need MUCH MORE on the website. Like, pictures, sound files. I will have
pictures next week. But I have to decide where to split my time up: right now it's getting the first set of
modules out the door (called 'cash flow').

But at least I am willing to start.
