well naturally enquiring minds need to know more!
BTW, that issue has an article "build this electronic
music box' by R.A.chamberlin using pink noise to select pitch
and duration of each note. called the Infinitune, selects
notes from 3 octaves of a pentatonic scale....
the kicker is, it uses LM3900s for the noise source,
over a range of .05 to 100Hz. and you have to find ones
with enough ordinary noise, but not too much popcorn noise...
