ASM-1 I'd like to listen to it

Ok.. Having looked through the archive and checked out the ASM-1 homepage I got
curious about the ASM-1.. Hmm.. I even made a parts-list waiting to be faxed so I can order the components.
But first.. I have no CV-keyboard and I have no MIDI->CV converter. My other synths are MIDI.
The PCB is still US $60, right? And I'd like to know from any (if any) Swede who has ordered it and built it,
and what the shipping cost was. In the ELFA-catalog I have not been able to locate the 2N4856 and not the
2 substitutes Gene said worked (2N4391 or 2N4392). And I read that I should avoid ceramic capacitors, but the only
18pF and 30pF I could find were ceramic. What's the solution? So where can I get these if I decide to order a PCB?
And last but not least, is there any1 who can sample something from their ASM-1's and prefferably compress to mp3
so I can listen to the thing before I start spending? I'm not too familiar with the sound of modulars or old analog
gear at all, the oldest thing in my possession being a JX-3P. So.. If anyone please could:
1 - Tell me shipping cost and where to find that J-FET and capacitors in Sweden
2 - Recommend a midi-cv converter
3 - Make some sample sounds demonstrating how the ASM-1 can sound
i would be most grateful.
Feel like I'm demanding a million things here.. I'm just asking :)
Thanks in advance...
/Peter
