Introduction

Hello all!

I've recently decided that I'd like to play around
with electronic music systems.  I haven't built a
sound generating analog circuit in probably 6 years
or so.  By profession I am a firmware engineer, 
designing hardware and software for embedded 
microcontroller applications. I've always liked projects
that connect electronics with "real-world" systems--I
could never sit around and write database software!

Musically I am a sax player, however I've always liked
tinkering with synthesizers.  I'm 1600 miles away
from my saxophones, and I really need to strengthen my
analog design skills, so here I am.

I'm trying to decide on a first project, and I'm thinking
probably a VCO, or experimentations with various types
of VCO.
