Same here, I don't get the huge price tag ($3000CDN) for an EMS VCS3 ... I
figure an enhanced "cloned" version (i.e., with different output amps and
reverb but duplicated essential modules) can be built for around $200~300
... + with better ergonomics than the original + extra features, etc ... I
got a full set of schematics a way back from a very kind net user and he
pointed me to this list for further info which I get every time I ask *!*
FYI, I'm ammassing parts to breadboard the schematics I've got to verify
there are no mistakes in them, first the VCO's and then the Filter. I'd
like it if someone can tell me (i) what the joystick pot values are in the
VCS3 and also (ii) the the pinouts/ins of the circuits and their
correspondence to vertical and horizontal positions on the peg matrix ...
I won't be using a matrix unless I make an ultra big one like those 4' high
giant chess sets they have in parks that small kids can't play but my
fingers can handle
... surely, this list is a nice heaven compared to the flaming found in
the newsgroups ... cheers
:)~~
