I add my voice to this plan for all the reasons Chris laid out 
below....

Not lots though, at any kind of production levell you're looking at 
maybe 10 USD for the extra layer, and people could always buy the kit 
without it and hand wire anyway (if you don't put the summers on it) 
they'd only do it once I guess.....Also you might be able to use the 
same front PCB for several different modules.....

Not if you use IDC ribbon and ground half the connectors....then you 
have a ground line between each signal...I do it all the time and it's 
nevwer any trouble.....

How about <Morphon> because it convey's the wild amorphous nature of 
the sounds a modular can achieve, and as we all know modulars are More 
Fun than other synths...
