Cabinet/power supply in the Digisound re-issue

Now I'm worrying about the following:
1) I plan to offer very nice cabinets for housing your large Digisound modulars. But, I need feedback on how
wide (ie how many modules??) I was thinking 30" (10 panels across) is a nice number, but maybe too big?
A good friend of mine is a custom furniture maker so we can do oak, maple, birch, whatever. Just let me
know how big! Remember a single panel is 3" wide and 9" tall. Yes, you can get blank ones.
2) Power supply. Life is too short to mess with building supplies when there are zillions off the shelf that work fine.
I plan to use 4 pin MOLEX connectors for power: the same used for hard drives. The modular uses very
little power. In the US, companies like Condor, Power-One, and Lambda sell what they call "open frame linear
supplies" based on 723 regulators. They all use the same "footprint" for mounting. They cost around $55.
Most can be jumpered for 110/220. So this is what I plan to use. If you want to go off and do your own, that's fine.
Awaiting more inputs!!!
