Asking for inputs

Hi Paul..

Here's my wish list for the forthcoming Digisound modules...

I too like the idea of optional panels on the modules; more freedom to
arrange colours, layout etc.

Can the PCBs have screened enclosures (a la Wiard)? Makes system
construction easier from the cabinet shielding standpoint; no
foil-shrouded wood! :)

Power connections: if it's direct to the PCB, then Molex 4-pole (like
disk drive connectors). If it's to a case (eg a screened enclosure for
the PCB), then, er, any circular multipin really.

I prefer knobs to sliders generally. Exceptions are things like graphic
waveform generators (a la Serge), and mixer-style level controls (_long_
faders).

CV control of everything!

Plenty of visual indicators (LEDs); especially for LFO waveforms. The
Korg PS series had a nice arrangement, whereby the LED intensity
followed the actual waveshape. Tasty.

A rack of big stainless steel cylinders which sit in a pool of dry ice,
with a thin glass ring round each, through which you can discern a
steadily pulsing blue glow which gives the impression of immense power
and... er, sorry, that's for something else.....;)
