CMOS Buffering Question

Use an opamp or a line driver such as the 1488. I have used CMOS outputs and
find they are too unstable with load variations if you use them as a CV
level, which you will find is more often than you were expecting.  I haven't
tried the line drivers myself yet, but plan to in the near future.
