PC Sequencers... (maybe even Mac)

I'm looking for a non-piano-roller MIDI sequencer.
Is there anything *similar* to a tracker that does MIDI in a
windows or mac environment?

Maybe even just something just based on pattern based sequencing...

I've been using trackers since the days of the Apple //gs
and find then extremely easy to use. 
But I'm all up for learning new things but I do not like 
piano-roller MIDI sequencers.

Any tracker-like MIDI sequencers?
