Hi Folks, Further to my problem I have realised the following thing....when the release pot is turned up there is a pair of inputs on the 4011B that are not being taken high, nor do they have a low-impedance path to earth, it's through the release pot. They could be floating away and causing the problem....is there an easy cure? chrisc
